1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to AcadNet Engage ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our interactive presentation and audience engagement platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Important: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AcadNet Engage. Please read them carefully before using our Service.

2. Description of Service

AcadNet Engage provides an interactive audience engagement platform that enables:

  • Live polling and voting during presentations
  • Real-time Q&A sessions with audience members
  • Interactive word clouds and idea gathering
  • Quizzes with leaderboards and timed questions
  • Star rating and multi-dimension assessment tools
  • Session management and participant tracking
  • Integration with presentation software via QR codes

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

To create sessions and manage activities, you must register for an account by providing accurate and complete information including your name, email address, mobile number, organization, department, role, and city. You agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update any changes to your information
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Types

Session Hosts: Users who create and manage interactive sessions. Hosts are responsible for the content and activities within their sessions.

Participants: Users who join sessions to participate in polls, Q&A, quizzes, and other activities. Participants must register with valid information before participating.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use AcadNet Engage only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Create sessions containing offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
  • Collect or harvest user information without consent
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create, including poll questions, quiz content, and session materials. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for providing the Service.

5.2 Our Content

The AcadNet Engage platform, including its design, features, logos, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

5.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without obligation to compensate you.

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Key points include:

  • We collect registration data, session data, and usage information
  • Participant responses and votes are stored for session analysis
  • IP addresses may be logged for security purposes
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties

7. Session Data and Retention

Session hosts have access to participant data and responses within their sessions. This includes:

  • Participant names, emails, and contact information
  • Individual votes, responses, and submissions
  • Timestamps and participation metrics

Session data is retained for a reasonable period and may be exported by session hosts. Participants should be aware that their responses may be visible to session hosts.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may:

  • Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Suspend accounts that violate these Terms

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
  • Results obtained from using the Service will be accurate
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACADNET ENGAGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AcadNet Engage, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Content you create or share through the Service

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:

  • Is harmful to other users or the Service
  • Is illegal or potentially illegal

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
